Safety not guaranteed was made for just $750,000 and you can kind of tell it not by its accomplished cast, but by its none too impressive digital video. The plot and acting, while not outstanding, are fine for what it is. Safety not guaranteed thankfully takes its science fiction framework and keeps it in the background, instead putting the focus on its characters and how they grow over the film’s short running time.

Safety not guaranteed is a movie steeped in deception and misdirection, to a pleasing effect. Measure, stir, bake and presto, you have. Three magazine employees head out on an assignment to interview a guy who placed a classified advertisement seeking a companion for time travel.

He says they'll be paid once they return but safety isn't guaranteed as he's only done this once before. I have only done this once before. You’ll get paid after we get back.

The film moves along at a decent pace and comes. College grad darius (aubrey plaza) interns at a seattle magazine and lives at home with her grieving dad. Safety not guaranteed occupies that sacred movie world known as “indie quirk land”, where all characters are wounded souls defined by single personality traits that are also impossibly lovable despite their flaws.it’s a magical place where no problem is so big that it can’t be overcome with a music montage and even the loneliest of souls will find love.

This succinct advert in a local newspaper (apparently inspired by a real ad) is what drives the plot of this low budget yet utterly charming indie hit movie. With a plot that looks like the makings of a lighthearted comedy, safety not guaranteed carries viewers away in an engrossing journey of love, science, and imagination. Now, on to the review.

It has the warmth, humor and intelligence that make for a good date movie, appealing to both men and women, but without the gushing sentimentality that is typical of mainstream while it does have science fiction elements, safety not guaranteed is much more quirky comedy than.
